Overlord Amazon

I hath decided to publish with KDP select. That means *drum roll* my ebook will be publishing (at least initially) exclusively on Amazon.com through Kindle.

This is a big decision for me. On one hand I want anyone and everyone to be able to read my book however they want for as little money as possible. However, I don’t have a following. Hell I don’t even have experience. I’m 22 years old and I don’t have so much as a short story floating on the internet. (my fanfiction hath been burnt from this universe to the next, only whispered in the dankest regions of the nether.) I am for real 100% organic, farm fresh starting from the dirt. Planting my seeds in Amazon’s garden is going to attract a lot of people passing by and that is more than I could ask for on my own. Amazon also has a really awesome feature called “Kindle Unlimited” and this lets people rent out your ebooks like a netflix subscription and that sounds genuinely fun.

I want to be clear that a physical copy of my book will be available to everyone, including expanded amazon locations outside USA, Europe and Japan and it won’t break your bank!

I’ve been reading a ton of articles of authors experiences with Amazon’s self-publish, all they write about is how to make money. I could make a whole different blog post about how much I do not care about making money on Delmora. I’ll be happy if people read it. That being said, I am fully aware that materials, shipping and Amazon overlords need their cut of the green. On the other hand I know my work, I know what it took me to get here and I want my prices to reflect Delmora’s worth.

Lastly, (and most importantly) I want to assure everyone considering buying my book that when it first comes out, Delmora will be as cheap as Amazon will let me make it. I will proudly be making one cent off every book sale, and the ebook (if it lets me) will be FREE.
