This is a bad year to publish.
They tell me reading is on the rise. Good for people. How the hell am I supposed to publish a book as a new author with everything going on. This one’s not a shocker; I support the black lives matter movement. I don’t want to promote my book, which is essentially promoting me when all this is going on. I wish that it would have been possible for me to publish anonymously but there just isn’t a way for me to promote my book and do that. I’m sure one day I’ll figure it out but it’s too late for Delmora.
I am going to publish this year because I’m finished. That sentence isn’t much of a promise since I’ve been saying that for years. This time I have no more excuses. Hopefully by September people will still feel like reading.
